Wipe down the machine with a wet cloth then wipe dry. Sanitize machine and all parts according to your localhealth department’s regulations. Do not spray machine. NOTICE: Cleaning with a high power jet may cause damage to the machine. Follow manufacturer’s instructions for use of chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing food contact surfaces and verify that they are approved by your local health authority. Wash, rinse, and sanitize all food contact surfaces of cold press juicer: After each use. Any time contamination occurs or is suspected. At a minimum of once every four hours while the machine is in use. Wash, rinse, and sanitize food contact surfaces in adherence to local health regulations. We recommend the following procedure: Wash surface with detergent solution. Rinse surface with clean water. Sanitize surface using a sanitizing solution mixed at a concentration specified on the manufacturer’s label. Place wet items in a manner to allow air drying. To Deep Clean Depending on your cleaning procedures and produce build up over time, you might need to detail the equipment to remove build-up. For all the removable parts, (Hopper, Hopper Base, Hopper Door, Grinder Blade, Pusher, Press Chamber, Press Rack, Moving Platen and Drip Tray), we recommend soaking in a solution of 3 oz of Lime-B-Gone per gallon of hot water (manufacturer’s recommendation for utensil cleaning) for a maximum of one hour. Rinse and scrub with a cleaning brush to remove any remaining residue. For more detailed information on cleaning processes, refer to the M-1 Owner's Manual. Troubleshoot: M-1 Not Working
Your M-1 comes equipped with safety features that prevent the grinder and or press from operating if it is not properly assembled or if the safety features are compromised. Follow the steps below to troubleshoot: Step One Make sure the machine is getting power by ensuring it is connected properly to the power source and is turned on. 1. Plug the M1 into a wall outlet. Push the power switch (on back) to the on position. If you are operating in a commercial kitchen or a residential kitchen, local building codes and regulations may require the outlet to be a GFCI. If the wall outlet is a GFCI there will be a rest button on the outlet. Ensure the GFCI outlet is not tripped. Step Two In order for the machine to operate, all three safety lights at the bottom of the button panel must be illuminated solid. When the power switch is first turned on, the lights next to and under the buttons will illuminate for the first two seconds according to the following: 1. HOPPER DOOR: Light indicates that the Hopper Door on the ReadyGrind™ Kit is closed. Install onto the four screws mounted on The Grinder Motor Housing, twist clockwise until securely locked. When turning on the machine, the safety light 1 will blink and need to be reset to ensure the safety sensor is functioning properly prior to use. To reset: Open and close Hopper Door. The light should now be illuminated solid. 2. GRINDER: Light indicates that the Grinder assembly is in the lowered position. 3. PRESS KIT Light indicates that the Press Rack and Moving Platen is installed inside of the Press Chamber. Step Three Make sure the ReadyGrind™ Kit is properly installed. The ReadyGrind™ Kit includes the hopper base, grinder blade, hopper, hopper door, and pusher. 1. Insert Hopper Door into the Hopper Base. 2. Position the Grinder Blade onto the Hopper Base. 3. Position Hopper on the Hopper Base, aligning the tabs(1), and twist to lock(2). 4. Insert Pusher into Hopper(1), close Hopper Door(2). 5. (1) With the Grinder Motor Housing in the upright position. (2) Place the assembled ReadyGrind™ Kit onto the four screws on the Grinder Motor Housing. (3) Twist the ReadyGrind™ Kit in a clockwise motion to lock it in place. NOTE: After prolonged use, sometimes food can get caught in between the parts and prevent the sensors from reading properly. Cleaning the parts and reassembling can resolve the issue if that is the case. If your machine is still not working after performing these troubleshooting steps, contact Goodnature technical support. For up-to-date support information go to www.goodnature.com/support.
Troubleshoot: ReadyGrind™ Kit Hard to Remove
If the ReadyGrind™ Kit is hard to remove on your M-1, it is often caused by the Grinder Blade being hard to add or remove from the Grinder Motor Housing. Follow the steps below to troubleshoot: Step One Turn the power switch to the OFF position. Are all screws screwed in all the way? Do not try loosening them, this usually is not the problem unless they have been replaced in the field and overtightened. They come from the factory installed to the correct torque and spacing. Try Installing and removing the Grinder Blade onto the Grinder Motor Housing by itself. Is it hard to slip on and off? Some blades fit tighter than others. Possible fixes if the blade is getting stuck / hard to remove by itself: - Small amount of sanding to the inside of the plastic drive grip (located on the underside of the Grinder Blade). It doesn’t take much smoothing of the plastic to change how tight it fits.
M-1 Maintenance Guide
Preventative Standard Maintenance for the Goodnature M-1 Cold-Press Juicer. BEFORE YOU START: Disconnect all power before performing maintenance to avoid risk of serious electric shock. Daily: Check machine for worn or damaged components, and proper functioning of the machine. If the machine is not functioning as described in this manual, please discontinue use immediately and contact technical support. For up-to-date support information go to www.goodnature.com/support. Monthly: With the machine ON and all components in place except the Moving Platen, push the PRESS button and allow the press rod to extend. Once extended, move the grinder to the UP position. Clean the press rod with a wet cloth then wipe dry. Apply food grade oil to the press rod. Press the STOP button to retract the press rod. Apply food grade oil to the press rod, we recommend Super Lube (R) H3 Food Grade Lightweight OIL, ISO 68. Check machine for loose fasteners. ProTip: Cooking oils like olive and coconut oil will build up residue making it tougher to clean over time. We recommend this food grade oil.
