Yield: 12 ounces (one serving). Yield may vary depending on the produce.

Ingredients:

  • 0.66 oz Blackberries (3 blackberries)
  • 1.33 oz Strawberries (3 1/2 strawberries)
  • 0.5 oz Raspberries (3 1/2 raspberries)
  • 0.66 oz Blueberries (7 blueberries)
  • 2 oz Pomegranate Arils (2/3 cup arils)
  • 12.4 oz Watermelon (2 cups cubed watermelon)
  • 0.15 oz Fresh Mint (4 mint leaves or 2 1/2 tablespoons chopped mint)

Directions:

  1. For best results, freeze and thaw berries prior to using in this recipe (this increases the amount of juice that the berries will yield).
  2. Wash and weigh out the produce.
  3. Remove the rind from the watermelon.
  4. Juice the watermelon, pomegranate arils, and mint, set aside.
  5. Remove the green tops from the strawberries.
  6. Put the thawed berries in a high powered blender and add enough of the juice you just made to cover the berries. Start blending slowly, while adding the remaining juice (do not go above medium speed) until you have a berry-based puree.
  7. Pass the blended juice through a fine mesh strainer, using a spoon to push through if needed. The puree should be thin enough to pass through the strainer.

3. Fresh Ginger Lemon Cayenne Juice Shot

This juice shot is a nutritionist’s dream, with loads of potassium, vitamin C and more in every serving.

Yield: 12 ounces (enough for six juice shots). Your yield may vary depending on the produce.

Ingredients:

  • 6 oz Ginger (1 1/2 cup chopped)
  • 6 oz Lemon (2 medium lemons)
  • 4.5 oz Apple (2/3 medium apple)
  • 0.75 oz Maple Syrup (1 1/2 tablespoons)
  • 1 small pinch of Ground Cayenne (per serving)

Directions:

  1. Peel the lemons.
  2. Juice the lemon, ginger, and apple together.
  3. Whisk the ground cayenne pepper and maple syrup into the lemon-ginger-apple juice.
  4. Portion into 2 ounce servings.

Pro Tip: If you like (or don’t mind) the taste of turmeric, add that in as well! It has many health benefits, but can sometimes be a bit hard to take due to the overwhelmingly earthy and bitter flavor, so I would recommend to add sparingly until you grow used to the taste.
