Juice Shot Recipes: Sweet Revenge & Toxin Ninja

Small portions of nutrient dense juice, commonly referred to as detox shots, wellness shots, booster shots, or immunity shots are gaining popularity. Health-wise they pack a huge punch of vitamins and antioxidants in a small 2oz – 4oz shot. From a business standpoint, they make a great add-on product to any juice purchase, as they are small and relatively inexpensive compared to a bottle of juice. Usually sold for $3 – $7 depending on size and ingredients (conventional /organic), they can be kept near the register for easy grab-and-go, much like grocery stores do with candy and water.

These mini wellness concoctions typically consist of lemon and ginger, with or without a few added ingredients. Lemon and ginger are known for their high concentration of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. This powerhouse team assists in promoting numerous health benefits including:

  • 4 oz peeled lemons (about 2 small lemons)
  • 4 oz ginger (about 4” of ginger)
  • 4 oz organic strawberries (about 5 strawberries)

*Makes approx 8 oz., (4) 2 oz. shots. To make 1 gal, multiply ingredient weights by 16

Why we love this shot: The addition of strawberries softens the blow of the lemon & ginger and also provides an extra jab of Vitamin C and antioxidants. Did you know – (according to USDA and other sources) – ounce for ounce, strawberries are slightly higher in vitamin C and lower in calories than oranges!

  1. Love the shots! We call them bombs.

    We have a Ginger Bomb (ginger, lemon), Turmeric Bomb (ginger, lemon, turmeric, ACV), Omenga Bomb, (pineapple, Blue Majik, spirulina) and a Charcoal Bomb (purified water, lemon, ginger, agave, activated charcoal).


    1. Awesome, great name for them! All of your shots sound amazing.
      I was curious about the Blue Majik, so I looked it up…chemical free extract of raw, organic Arthrospira platensis (Spirulina), incredibly high in protein and a good source of antioxidants, nice!

    Thanks for sharing this info. We are trying to provide nothing but shots with continuously varying ingredients, so new ideas are always more than welcome.
    Question though: do you both shred and press the strawberries with X1 like the other ingredients, or does it come out like a pulp? We never used strawberries before, that’s why …

      We like to grind the strawberries with the lemon and ginger (then press), this tends to give a better flavor than grinding alone or pressing without grinding. Good luck and keep up the good work spreading the juice!

  4. We’d like to add immunity shots to our menu – should we try using the X-1 or do you all have a juicer you can recommend for them?


    1. If the ingredients you’re using are ingredients that can be cold-pressed, then yes the X-1 or X-1 Mini will work fine.
