Apple Crisp Smoothie

Ingredients

green apple (large diced, frozen)4 oz
banana (frozen chunks)1.5 oz
oat milk6 fl oz
maple syrup0.5 fl oz
ginger (peeled)0.1 oz
granola0.5 oz
chai masala spice0.01 oz
vanilla paste (or extract)0.01 oz

Directions

  1. Peel the ginger and add to the blender.

  2. Remove previously frozen banana and apple from the freezer and add to the blender.

  3. Add the remaining ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth, about one minute.

Pro Tips

  • Feel free to sub in almond milk or your favorite unflavored plant based milk.

  • Be careful not to use too much ginger. Ginger can vary in its flavor potency, if your ginger smells really strong, use less than the recipe measurement.

  • If you're sensitive to glucose spikes, try sweetening with stevia, agave or monk fruit instead of maple syrup and replace the banana with frozen peaches .

  • One of the great things about smoothies – it's easy to add in other boosters like chia seeds, flax, protein powder, almond butter or even yogurt!
