What type of juicer is the M-1?
The M-1 is a true cold-press—a classic style two stage juice press with a moving platen.
What type of juicer is it not?
The M-1 is not a centrifugal juicer, auger juicer, or masticating juicer. It is a true juice press. The juice is extracted by pressing juice pulp between two plates. In our humble opinion, this is the best way (and right way) to make juice.
What kind of bags are used?
We offer single use compostable bags that are meant to be discarded after one use, or reusable cloth bags that must be washed and sanitized. Reusable bags are expected to last about 3-6 months.
How many bottles of juice per hour can I produce on the M-1?
If you have a good process and workflow, you can expect to produce about 20 bottles of juice per hour. If you require more output, we recommend moving up to an X-1 Mini or full size X-1.
How does the M-1 output compare to the X-1 Mini?
The M-1 is designed for making one serving of juice per cycle. The X-1 Mini produces 3-5 servings per cycle.
Will the M-1 fit on the kitchen counter in my home?
Although the M-1 will fit on most kitchen counters, it is about 22 inches tall. It will not fit underneath standard height kitchen cupboards. If you are purchasing it for home, make sure you have a spot for it that has enough vertical clearance.
Is the M-1 commercial duty?
Yes, the M-1 is built for businesses and is meant to be operated continuously without needing a break. The M-1 will also feature NSF and UL commercial certifications (the machines will be certified by the time we start shipping them in 2020).
How long does it take to switch between recipes?
Due to the new ReadyGrind™ technology, it takes less than 10 seconds to switch between recipes, with no cleaning necessary.
How long does it take to do a deep cleaning?
You can expect a deep cleaning by hand (wash, rinse, sanitize) to take about five minutes. There are no mesh screens or hard-to-clean parts like in other juicing technologies.
What colors are available?
The current color selections can be seen on the M-1 Package Builder page.
What is the difference between standard hardware and premium hardware?
Standard hardware includes stainless steel bolts with regular Phillips-head bolt heads. The premium hardware includes polished, hardened stainless bolts with 12-point hex heads for an upgraded aesthetic.
When will I get my machine?
We hope to begin shipping M-1s to customers in March 2020. So when you get yours depends on when you order and how far down in the queue your order is. You can see estimated ship date on the M-1 Package Builder page.
What’s the return policy?
The M-1 is built to order, so our policy is to not offer returns. However, if you’re truly unhappy with the product we may approve a return with a restocking fee, at our discretion.
Can I cancel my order?
You may cancel your order prior to paying the final balance but the deposit is non-refundable in all cases.
Can you move me up in the queue so I can get my machine faster?
If some customers ahead of you in the queue cancel their orders or don’t pay their balances on time, we may be able to move you up to a faster ship date.
Can you give me a guaranteed ship date?
Can I change my color choice or other options?
We will generally allow customers to change their selected options if it is prior to building their machine. Changes may cause delays, depending on our stock and availability of the requested options.
How much is the deposit?
$350 US. This deposit is non-refundable.
I live outside of the US, Canada, or Mexico. When will I be able to order an M-1?
We are working hard at obtaining the certifications we need in order to import into other countries. Once we have a better idea of timing, we will notify our email list that we can begin taking international orders. Make sure to add yourself to the presale list.
