Juice Shot: Fresh Ginger Cleanse

Juice shots, also known as wellness shots, bombs, booster shots, immunity shots, and more have grown in popularity in the juicing community over the past two years. These small 2 – 4oz shots are intentionally made to pack a hard punch of antioxidants and nutrients – hence the name, wellness shot! If you aren’t already offering your own version of a wellness shot, juice shot, or juice bomb, here is your chance. They are the perfect impulse buy or add-on item for your customers. Plus, they are cost-effective compared to a standard 12 oz bottle of juice. These shots can be sold anywhere between $3 – $7 depending on the ingredients and make a great grab and go! 

It’s usual for juice shots to include either fresh lemon, ginger, or both due to their cleansing properties. Ginger is a plant that originated in China and is closely related to turmeric, cardamom, and galangal. Fresh ginger root and ginger pulp have a long history of being used in alternative and traditional forms of medicine, along with lemons! Fresh Ginger Juice Shot Recipe 

Yield:  We made this recipe in one batch on the X-1 Mini and it yielded about 36oz,  (9) 4 oz. shots.  Looking for 2 oz or 4 oz juice bottles? You can get them on our Bottle App here.

Ingredients:

1.5 lb ginger
1.5 lb lemon
13 oz carrot
4.5 oz turmeric
one pinch cayenne per serving

Directions: 

  1. Weigh and thoroughly wash  produce
  2. Decide if you want to peel lemons or not and run produce through the juicer. 
  3. Add a pinch of cayenne pepper into each bottle and shake
  4. Chill 
  5. Bottle & Sell or Drink & Enjoy!
