Laufer Processing System
The
Laufer Processing System provides a
method for continuous dejuicing or dewatering
of a wide variety of slurries that normally
require successive squeezings.
Applications
include fruits and vegetables such as apples,
pears, berries and carrots; specialized food
products and herbs; and by-product recovery from
food waste streams and waste minimization. .

- Efficiency
The patent
pending technology features unique
piston and tapered wire screen elements
incorporated into a modular design.
- Modular
Flexibility
A complete system can consist of
one or more modules operating in series
or parallel which can be "plumbed
into" your existing product or
waste stream.
- Fully
enclosed, with no belts, bags or cloths
No cloths, bags or other fabrics are utilized.
Processing takes place within an enclosed
chamber to control feed material, aromas,
and odors.
- Integrated
remix, washing cycles
As it is retracted,
the pressing element's unique design breaks
up the cake. Water can be added at this
point if cake washing or leaching is desired.
At the end of the retraction stroke, the
hydraulic element moves forward, pushing
the remixed cake into a second module, if
desired, or ejecting it from the system.
The module is then immediately refilled.
When the cake has reached maximum dryness,
it is ejected from the system for disposal.
- Manual
or automatic control
Machine control can be as simple as pushing
a button.
- Easy,
clean-in-place sanitation
Clean up
is simple. During operation, the screen and
hydraulic elements are virtually self-cleaning.
Any remaining particles are quickly and
easily flushed out with water during the
C.I.P cycle.
